AdSense Channels Optimizing

You can keep a track from where you are getting major amount of click and which are the best ad unit. You can do this by creating channels in AdSense. Google AdSense offers this feature to fine tune your adsense programe & Profit of it. 2 good questions that I have in my mind is something like this. Where is AdSense earning me the most revenue? How can I use this knowledge to help me to earn even more? I found some answer of it in AdSense help center. According to them many publisher has changed the way they earn from AdSense by making simple changes. Then why can't we do that where ever it's good for our site or blog. You can make some changes in ad format, ad color, and most important ad placement. This is one of the vital thing to keep in mind. Like lods of ad can make the visitor confused and can lower the earning. So, using proper ad's and in perfect place is the key of more $$$. Channels offer a deeper level of analysis than that provided by overall revenue reports. They allow you to break down reporting to monitor the performance of sites, sections of sites, or even individual ad units. Any time a channel is created, AdSense will record impressions, CTR, CPM, and earnings statistics for that specific page or ad unit. This provides you with a precise method of evaluating which sites and which locations will enable you to realize your maximum earning potential. AdSense offers two kinds of channels: URL Channels, for domain, sub-domain, and page-specific reports, and Custom Channels, for more granular reports specific to an ad unit or ad placement.

Which AdSense Format To Be Used

As a rule of thumb, wider ad formats tend to outperform their taller counterparts, due to their reader-friendly format. Readers absorb information in thought units (that is, several words at a time). The wider format lets them comfortably read more text at a glance without having to skip a line and return to the left margin every few words as they would be forced to do with a narrower ad. The wider ad format also lessens the likelihood of readers leaving the ad unit altogether. Since these formats allow users to read more text without having to skip a line every few words, users' eyes have less chance to leave the ad unit altogether. If positioned well, these ad formats can increase your earnings. The formats we've found to be the most effective are the 336x280 Large Rectangle, the 300x250 Medium Rectangle, and the 160x600 Wide Skyscraper. Keep in mind that while these ad formats typically perform well, you should use the format that best complements your pages. Tip for making the most of a little ad space: Try one of our streamlined link unit formats or a referral unit. These formats are lean, mean, and versatile enough to fit in locations normal ads don't.

Using Adsense With Other Ad Network

Yes. However, Google do have some guidelines as to how non-Google ads may be displayed along with Google ads. Google do allow affiliate or limited-text links. If your ad network already displays Google ads on your pages, you can still join AdSense and run ads on your site through Google's program. Google allow publishers to display up to three standard Google ad units on any webpage. Keep in mind that it's your responsibility to work out any contractual issues that may arise with your ad network as a result of serving Google ads directly.

Google Search Results

Participating in Google AdSense does not affect your site's rank in Google search results and will not affect the search results Google deliver. Google believes strongly in freedom of expression and therefore offers broad access to content across the web. Our search results are unbiased by our relationships with paying advertisers and publishers. Google will continue to show search results according to our PageRank technology. Adding the Google AdSense ad code or AdSense for search code to your site will not queue your pages for crawling by Google's main index bots. While our bot (starting with 'Mediapartners-Google') does crawl content pages for the purpose of targeting ads, participation in AdSense does not increase the number of pages from a site in Google main index.

Earn With AdSense For Search

AdSense for search lets you offer your users Google web search directly from your pages. By placing an AdSense for search box on your site, you'll generate earnings from ad clicks made by users on the search results pages. You won't, however, receive revenue from user searches through your AdSense for search box. When users perform searches on your site, but choose not to click on the ads on the search results pages, you will not receive any earnings.

AdSense For Search

AdSense for search is for publishers who wish to provide web search for their users, directly from any webpage. AdSense for search results pages use Google's search to provide relevant results, and the search results pages are customizable to fit with your site's theme. In addition, results pages are monetized with Google ads that are targeted to the user's query - providing useful information for the user, and a new revenue stream for publishers. To add AdSense for search to your webpages, simply complete Google's online application. If your site is approved, Google'll provide you with code to insert into your webpages that will generate Google's AdSense for search box anywhere on your page.

How Quickly Will Google Ads Show Up?

After you've been accepted into the program and have implemented the HTML ad code on your site, ads will start running within minutes. If your site is not yet in Google's index, it may take up to 48 hours or more before Google are able to crawl your site. Until your site has been crawled, Google may display public service ads, for which you will not receive earnings. Your ad relevancy should increase over time. However, keep in mind that if you make changes to a page, it may be 1 or 2 weeks before our crawler captures the changes and updates Google's index to provide more relevant ads. Adding the AdSense for search code to your pages will instantly generate an AdSense for search box. As search results are displayed on Google-hosted pages, relevant ads will appear immediately, if ads are available for the particular query.

Google's Ad Targeting Process

Once you've added the Google ad code to the webpages on which you want to display Google ads, we take care of the rest by automatically delivering relevant Google ads to those content pages. Google ads are targeted in two ways: Contextual targeting Our technology uses such factors as keyword analysis, word frequency, font size, and the overall link structure of the web, in order to determine what a webpage is about and precisely match Google ads to each page. Placement targeting With placement targeting, advertisers choose specific ad placements, or subsections of publisher websites, on which to run their ads. Ads that are placement-targeted may not be precisely relevant to the content of a page, but are hand-picked by advertisers who've determined a match between what your users are interested in and what they have to offer . Our technology can also determine the primary language of a page. If your content is in a language supported by our program, AdSense will target ads in the appropriate language to your content. In addition, Google ads are geotargeted to your visitor's location.
